And today is my last day smoking. I am making Mikey stay home from work tomorrow (he don't have to work he gets paid either way) so he can help by giving me his strength. Tomorrow we go grocery shopping where I am going to try and by a months worth of grocery's really really cheap. I have been spend 469. The only exception will be presents for Christmas and birthdays and even then we will be buy less presents and cheaper presents for our family and friends.</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 153);">What will happen is we have made a list of things that we can buy and if something is not on the list then we don't get to buy it. The only exception for this is a dire emergency. This list includes all bill.</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 153);">We would love to have more people do the same then and blog about it so everyone can see what everyone else is doing. Maybe get more ideas from other people and maybe some inspiration.</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 153);">We decided to do this because we are sick and tired of living paycheck to paycheck and we want to set goals for ourselves and have a certain amount of money in the bank at the end of the year. We will blog about how we are doing and how much we have in savings at the end of the month then at the end of the year.</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 153);">This plan will go into action January 1st and we will blog every Saturday and maybe even more but at least every Saturday.</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 153);">Our next post will explain all the things we can buy.<br /><br />But before we get to that let me tell you a little bit about us and were we are coming from.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Cat<br /><br /></span>I am 29. I am a strong powerful women who is a mother to 4, a girlfriend to Mikey, a full time student and a tutor at my school. I have a bit of a spending problem lol that we are trying to curb so this challenge will be harder on me than on Mikey.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Mikey<br /><br /></span>I am 24. I am Father to 3, a boyfriend to Cat. I work about 70 hours a week and will be starting school in January full time. Unlike Cat I don't have a spending problem in fact a rarely buy anything so this will be easier for me.<br /><br /><br />Both of us grew up with not a lot of money and we know how hard it is to raise a family with little money and what we are trying to do it to change that.
